Approximately 14 nuggets ranging in size from 20 - 40mm. Carnelian is the orange-red, translucent form of Chalcedony and gets it's colour from traces of iron oxide(hematite) or goethite. It was highly valued by the Greeks and Romans, who used it for signet rings.
